The Story
Started at home,
late at night.
Molecule Records didn't start as a business. It started at home, late at night — one sampler, a pile of records and a feeling that something was hiding between the loops.
Then came another machine. And another. An MPC from the nineties, a tape four-track, a synth that hums when you turn it on. Not a collection — a vocabulary. Every piece is a word we learned to say something new.
A molecule is what happens when small things bond and become something they couldn't be alone. That's the whole idea: a kick, a sample, a voice, a person — put together the right way, in the right room.
We don't have a studio with our name on the door. Not yet. For now the studio is wherever the gear goes: when we find an artist we believe in, we pick a room that sounds right, carry in the machines and build the record there.
The dream is simple. A real place, one day — warm light, tape hiss, doors open to people who aren't afraid to try something strange. Until then, we keep making the music that would live there.
